Are you currently enrolled in Medicare? Will you be turning 65 over the next year or two? On Wednesday, October 14 from 6 - 8 p.m., join James Farnham, MS, MBA, Licensed Agent, virtually as he discusses the basics of Medicare. Votes for Women:
A Portrait of Persistence Exhibition at the Marlboro Library

The Marlboro Free Library invites you to a special exhibition in celebration of the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment. Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence reveals the women and organizations often overlooked in the complex narrative of women’s suffrage in the United States. This poster exhibition will also feature a local component, showcasing how Marlborough played a part in this narrative.
This exhibition is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery. Check marlborolibrary.org for exhibit hours and updates.

Shred Event at Marlboro Library
Residents of the Marlboro School District can protect themselves from identity theft and get rid of those old documents and folders all at one time!  Bring them down to the Library on Friday, October 2 between 9- 11 a.m., to have them put in the shredder truck and destroyed safely in seconds. This event is first-come, first-served, with a three bag/box limit per person.  The shredder truck will be parked in the Library side parking lot.
*PLEASE NO EARLY BIRDS* If you arrive early, park in the front parking lot only. Side Parking Lot will not open until 9 a.m. sharp!  Attendees must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The Great Give Back Food Drive
As part of the Great Give Back this fall, libraries all over New York State will be connecting patrons with opportunities to help their neighbors through donation drives, environmental clean-up events, and other community service projects. Given the rise in food insecurity in our community over the past 6 months, as part of the Great Give Back, the Marlboro Free Library will be focusing on collecting and distributing food to help feed our neighbors from October 5 to October 17.
All items will be donated to Marlboro’s local food pantry at St. Mary’s Parish, who will distribute donations to the people in need in our community. The Great Give Back helps highlight some of the changing ways our library helps support our community every day. We are stronger together, and any contribution you can make to this food drive helps.
If you would like to help, you can drop off nonperishable, non-expired food items at the Library from October 5 to October 17 during in-library and curbside hours. Please check our website for updated hours, as they are subject to change.
