Eagle Project update

Hello, my name is Samuel Borchert and I’m working on my Eagle Scout Service project. The Eagle Rank is the highest rank in the scouting program. My project is building a bell pavilion which will be 10’x10’ and about 12 feet tall. It will have a slate roof to mirror St. Mary’s roof. St. James’ bell will hang in the center of the roof, and the pavilion will be dedicated in the honor and memory of the lost parish. We are making progress.
The structure is up and the slate roof is finished. If you drive by the rectory you will be able to see all the progress. I wanted to let everyone know that we have received enough donations to cover the cost of the concrete pad, the slate roof, the copper flashing and the nails. I still need to purchase a cast plaque that will have St. James’ history written on it. If we receive more donations than what is needed, I will make a bench or two.
Thank you again.
