Marlboro Library storytown program wraps up

Join us at our last location around town for a special pop up story time featuring books, bubbles, and more!
The final pop up location will be at Mad Batter’s Bakery (1447 Rte 9W) on Monday, August 19, 12 p.m. For ages 2-5 years.
Registration is not required, but is preferred so that you can be contacted in the case of last-minute cancellations. RSVP online at marlborolibrary.org.

Book Barn open Saturday, September 7
The Friends of the Marlboro Free Library Book Barn is open for the season! Located next to the library’s north parking lot, it is open every first Saturday of the month through October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting).

Quality hardcover books and DVDs donated to the library are available for reduced sale.
The Friends of the Marlboro Free Library are volunteers who raise funds for the library.


Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library
Scott Jameson presents “A Universe of Stories” Magic and Juggling.

Join Scott Jameson, Thursday, August 15, 7 p.m. for an extraordinary performance that will have you laughing out loud and perched on the very edge of your seat. Umbrellas are plucked from thin air; basketballs are spun and juggled. A drawing comes to life, and a member of the audience unlocks telekinetic abilities. See what the show audiences are calling “Superb!”, “A blast!”, and “Heartwarming fun for the whole family” at the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library in Milton.

An Out-of-this-World Family Party
It’s the grand finale to Thursday Family Fun summer programming at the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library, Thursday, August 22, 7 p.m. Celebrate the Summer Reading Game, and “A Universe of Stories,” with singing, dancing and snacks. Wear your costumes if you would like, take pictures against our fancy outer-space backdrop, and be a part of our galaxy gallery of stars.
Please sign up for the party by calling the Milton Library at 795-2200, so that we can have plenty of party supplies.

Senior picnic

August 8 was the Marlboro Milton Seniors Annual Picnic sponsored by the Lions Club. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the BBQ Chicken and steak with sides. New York State Assemblyman James Skoufis, Representing the 39th district New York State Senate stopped by to say hello to all.

Annual Game Night Event
American Legion Auxiliary Unit #124, Western Ave, Marlboro presents its annual game night on Aug. 17.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The price of $10 per ticket includes, sandwiches, salads, desserts and refreshments. Play Bingo, Cards, Scrabble, etc.

Milton Engine Company Lobster Bake August 24th 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Enjoy lobsters, clams, steak, burgers and salads while listening to live music.
