Mazzstock music festival coming this weekend

Woodstock 50 may have been cancelled, but Lee Mazzola is hosting once again his Mazzstock Music Festival this weekend that starts on Friday August 9 and runs through Sunday August 11 at 35 Hampton Rd in Marlboro. The annual event is called New York’s Biggest small festival, with the goal of providing a big festival atmosphere within an intimate setting on private property in the Hudson Valley. Tent camping is available.

Mazzstock lives up to its slogan of “3 days, 2 stages, 1 love, No Worries” with an impressive lineup of musical artists: Zach Deputy with special guest Freekbass; Dark Side of the Hudson, Flux Capacitor, Gratefully Yours, Lespecial, Haley Jane and the Primates, The Mazzstock All-Star Band, The Alpha Make Gorillas and the 22-piece NY-Chillharmonic to name just a few of bands who will be performing this weekend. Each evening as the music winds down, there will be acoustic jams taking place around the campfire until the wee hours of the morning.

The central tenet of the festival is that “Mazzstock runs on peace and love – rock out, be respectful of each other’s spaces, bodies and belongings and No fighting or violence of any kind.”

Mazzstock started after founder “Big Lee” Mazzola celebrated his 50th birthday with a party on his property in Marlboro. It has morphed into a 3 day festival of music from jam bands to blues, reggae to trip hop, alternative to country and rock and roll.

Mazzola thanks his wife “First Lady and Queen of Mazzstock” Merethe for her love and support, and friend Vinny “The Don” Pomarico for wearing several hats as Co-producer, Booking and Stage Manager and Performer and Victoria Bourbeau as the festivals Consigliera, Graphic Designer and director of Marketing and of the Website.
