I don’t want a President who is a pathological liar. I don’t want a President who hugs the American flag then denigrates the very values it represents. I don’t want a President whose behavior is vile and vulgar. I don’t want a President whose demagoguery tears at the social fabric of our nation bringing out the worst in the human condition. I don’t want a President whose narcissism demands blind loyalty even if it conflicts with our national interest. I don’t want a President who, to quash accountability, discredits the press at every turn. I don’t want a President who undermines our democracy by not only dismissing intelligence findings of foreign interference in our elections, be it past (2016), present and future but actually declaring open season for election meddling by foreign powers. I don’t want a President who, at the expense of Congress, exceeds the Constitutional boundaries of executive power blurring the separation of powers and subverting our system of checks and balances. I don’t want a President who puts himself above the law with impunity.

Trump is guilty of being and doing the above things I find reprehensible. The Senate refuses to hold him accountable. Accountability now rests in voters’ hands. Come November do we want Trump’s direction for America to continue or do we want to change course bringing back civility, resurrecting our democracy, following our Constitution, restoring our country’s soul and reemerging as a nation of laws, not men. It’s our choice.
