Philip F. Liebman, 73, of Highland, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 23, 1945 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Norman H. and Rosa C. (Rost) Liebman.
He married Mary Dotter on December 30, 1967 at Smithtown, NY and they had over 50 years happily married together.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Liebman; two daughters: Bess Stewart of Brooklyn, NY and Sarah Goldstein of Viroqua, WI; two sons: David C. Liebman of Kingston, NY and Daniel Liebman of Schenectady, NY; his brother, Jesse Liebman of Atlanta, GA; and 13 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many dear friends,.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Norman Liebman.
Philip was a good man, one who looked for happiness in life and, with his warmth and intelligence, gave happiness to others. Strong, thoughtful, gracious and always teased about time and grooming, he laughed a lot. He was well-loved and generous in giving love. Philip is a fine man to hold in our hearts and remember.
Burial will be held in Rosendale Plains Cemetery, Springtown Road in Tillson on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 12 noon.
Philip’s family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Philip’s name to the Hope Lodge, 132 W. 32nd Street, New York, New York, 10001.
