I am very happy to announce that in November the Plattekill Public Library purchased the property and current building, where the Library resides, from the Town of Plattekill. This is very exciting and a great opportunity for the Library to move forward with new improvements, new programs and a plan for the future. I would personally like to invite everyone who has an interest in seeing your Library succeed to attend our monthly public Board meetings and speak up with your suggestions, ideas and hopes for the Library.

Our next meeting is this Thursday, January 9 at 7 p.m. We have a Public Input session early on in our meeting agenda so that you, the public, can address our Board. In the meantime please stop by and meet our new Director Darren Lanspery who has taken the reins and has already made a positive impact on management of the Library.

Please feel free to introduce yourself to our capable staff who will gladly help you sign up for your new Library Card and show you the list of upcoming programs. So here is your chance....be part of something good for you, your family and your community.
