The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail improvement work has started, and will continue through October.

The project will improve overall public access to the northern section of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail; establish additional safety measures for residents and visitors; and reinforce the Rail Trail’s inclusion as part of the Empire State Trail. The northern 9.5-mile stretch of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail beginning at Cragswood Road in the Town of New Paltz and ending at Rockwell Lane/Route 32 in the Town of Ulster is under construction through October 2020.
