Rita Hannigan Conor,of Cary, N.C., formerly of Saugerties, NY died at Rex/UNC Hospital Raleigh North Carolina on Friday June 9, 2023.
She was born in Marlboro in July, 1937 to Margaret Dohrman Hannigan and Jim Hannigan. She was married in 1959 to Alton Richard "Dick" Connor, who predeceased her.
She is survived by her children; Patricia (Patti) Hackett her husband Arnie, Margaret "Peg" Snyder, her husband Rich, Stephen Connor, Michael Connor. Brother Larry Hannign and his partner Drake Toole; Grandson Justin Hackett, wife Nicole , great granddaughter Eleanor Hackett, Granddaughter Christine Martin, husband Andrew, Great grandson Connor James Martin, Grandson ,Grandson Kristopher Snyder, his fiancée Donna Brocco, Granddaughter, Amber Nally, husband Peter, Great grandson Joseph Nally, Grandson, Eric Connor, fiancée, Chelsea Govea.
In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by son Kevin at age 3, parents Al and Lucy Connor, Stepmother Lorraine Connor and brother James Hannigan
Friends will be received at the Lahey Funeral Home, 27 Smith St., Kingston, on Sunday June 18, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of The Snow Church, on Monday, June 19, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St Mary's cemetery.
