This past week on the “Morning Joe” program former President Obama’s DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson told MSNBC host Mika Brzeinski, “We are truly in a crisis’ at southern border. On Tuesday there were 4,000 apprehensions. I know that 1,000 overwhelms the system and I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like.” .washingtonexaminer.com/news.
With a project of 1 million trying to enter our southern border this year what actions are our elected representatives taking to address what Mr. Johnson described as a crisis? Adding hi-tech sensors at the border will not prevent the illegal intrusions. The Border Patrol agents are already overwhelmed. Only actions to correct our out-of-date immigration policies and elimination of the sanctuary cities/states that continue to act as an incentive for more illegal immigration will finally address this problem.
When will our politicians take actions to fix the problem?
