Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is pleased to announce that on Saturday, August 31, the Ulster County Historical Society will host an historic tools & implements exhibit and demonstration at the Matthewis Persen House Museum located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free and all are welcome.

On Saturday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., join Ulster County Historical Society board member Bill Merchant for a display of tools and building implements from the UCHS artifacts collections. The goals of the UCHS are to act as curator and collector of significant Hudson Valley artifacts, documents and cultural items, and to educate the community on the very important role the Hudson Valley and particularly Ulster County has played in the formation of our great nation.

“We are happy to have the Historical Society and Bill Merchant at the Persen House again this season,” said County Clerk Postupack. “Their vast collection of items is a treasure trove of our historical and cultural heritage. Bill’s demonstration will be a unique experience at the Persen House and we look forward to learning about these fascinating items.”
