Training Announcement from the Ulster County Department of Emergency Services Division of Fire Services.

Firefighter Summer Training Program Orientation Weekend: May 18 & 19, 2019.

Course starts June 27, 2019, at the Highland Fire District in Highland with Instructor Everett Erichsen.


This very dynamic program has been designed for the highly-motivated student firefighter that can commit to a very aggressive training schedule in a compressed time format. After this 21-day program, firefighters will graduate with the following courses: Firefighter 1, Courage to be Safe, Firefighter Survival, SCBA Confidence and Truck Company Operations.

Completion of this program achieves the 21 objectives of function 4.2 Interior Firefighters of the OFPC Recommended Best Practices for the FD Training Programs document.
