Airport hotel seeking tax breaks

A New York City developer of hundreds of big projects has big plans for New Windsor.

The builder is working with the Orange County Industrial Development Agency on possible tax breaks for the airport hotel project.

A proposed 128-room 86,000 square foot hotel and conference center at Stewart International airport is planned for the front of the main terminal and parking lot.

It’s going to be at the corner of Bruenig Road and International Boulevard opposite the busy airport’s main parking area to be completed in 2021.

Developer SDC Realty is seeking Orange Country Industrial Development assistance.

The builder could benefit from a suite of available tax breaks.
New Windsor town supervisor George Green has said he expects big things from Simone in New Windsor.

Simone is no stranger to New Windsor, having finished a sizable list of residential housing projects in town.

Simone’s New Windsor construction resume includes 310-unit Patriot Bluffs.

Green credits the builder with good workmanship and timely construction in New Windsor.

The builder was before the town planning board last week, discussing a zoning board of appeals issue to do with the airport project.
