Anthony “Tony” Mattiolo passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Vincent and Carmela “Mary” (LoMeo) Mattiolo; he was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 1, 1942. 

A jeweler by trade, he worked in Manhattan specializing in custom jewelry designs. Later he started his own family run business, Dorchrist Jewelry, in Long Island, NY. 

Anthony was a hardworking, dedicating family man. He loved spending time teaching life skills, playing catch and cards, watching the Miami Dolphins, and taking meticulous care of his cars.  He was an avid animal lover and always had a fury companion by his side. 

Anthony is survived at home by his wife of 56 years, Elaine; son Christian and wife Cheryl of Long Island; daughter Doryann and husband James of Montgomery. Affectionately known as Pa, he is survived by his six grandchildren; James, Connor, Tyler, Kristen, Erin, and Steven. 

In addition; sister Rose Mickel of Staten Island; brother-in-law Vincent Caserta of Queens; sister-in-law Loryane and brother-in-law Carmine Margiotta of Connecticut. Nieces; Maryann Molino, Dolores Blanti of Staten Island; Dana Wild and Darcy Olsen of Connecticut. He is also survived by his furry faithful companion Serena. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Hughes and Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County. 

A mass and Christian burial will be 10:30 on Saturday March 27 at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St. Montgomery. Father Mathew Reiman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Montgomery.
