Three employees of the City of Beacon have tested positive for COVID-19.  They have not been at work since September 30th and October 5th respectively, and have been placed on mandatory 10-day self-quarantine.

In addition to the many public health protocols the City has maintained due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City responded to the three recent positive cases by retaining Serve Pro to thoroughly disinfect all of City Hall on Sunday, Oct. 4.  The administration also notified the Dutchess County Department of Health and has been working with the agency to follow all of the necessary protocols, including engaging New York State contract tracers.

City officials want to underscore their ongoing commitment to public health and the safety of its employees, residents, and visitors.  The City continues to remind everyone, that we need to continue to take this seriously and follow the proper protocols, stressing the need to continue to maintain social distance of 6 feet and continue to wear masks when appropriate and wash hands thoroughly.
