Bee Keeping for participants with some beekeepin experience

This bee keeping program will take place on July 13 from 10am till noon at the Orange County Arboretum located in Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 41 Grove St. off Route 416, Montgomery, NY.

Covered topics would include: lighting the smoker, hive inspections & observations, identifying differences between bees, queen rearing and other topics including questions for the professional bee keeper.

Because we will be handling live bees, all participants must bring & wear safety equipment, consisting of a veil or bee suit.

In the event of rain, the program will be postponed to Sunday, July 14, at the same time. The cost is $10 per person and will be held at the Apiary. Please make reservations at 845-283-5011.
