Town Clerk Andrew Zarutskie of the Town of Newburgh reminds all residents that he is soliciting applicants for two vacancies in the town government.
The first is a seat on the seven-member Town Ethics Board. The Board rules on any allegations filed against any town officer for violation of the ethics code, Chapter 16 of Town Law.
The Ethics Board is required by law to meet once a year (usually in July) but can meet at any other time by the call of the Chairman, as any situation may warrant.
The Town of Newburgh is also seeking a Town Historian.
Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio has announced that a deadline of March 29 is being established to receive applications.
Anyone wishing to apply for either position is asked to send a letter of intent and a resume to Town Clerk Zarutskie at 1496 Route 300, Newburgh 12550.
