After learning about earthquakes recently, students in Kassia Connors’ science class at Marlboro Middle School decided to put their knowledge to the test! The students designed and built structures out of toothpicks and marshmallows then used a shake table to test how well their structures could withstand a simulated earthquake. Congratulations to Wyatt Piazza, who built the tallest structure (28.5 centimeters), which shook for 30 seconds!
