Work continues at the former First Methodist Church of Newburgh, to convert it to a community hub known as HighPoint in partnership with LYNC, a Black, female-led nonprofit that leads job training, daycare and community space. The project is being undertaken by Rupco, a leading provider and advocate of quality, affordable housing and community development programs aimed to provide opportunity and revitalize communities in New York State’s Hudson Valley region. Rupco purchased the building last year.
