Karen Kundin-O'Shea of Walden, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in Walden. She was 63.
The daughter of Robert Kundin and Sheila Peck Kundin, she was born June 4, 1957 in Verona, NJ.
Karen grew up in New Windsor and attended Newburgh Free Academy before graduating as a registered nurse from Orange County Community College and SUNY Geneseo.
Karen worked at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh, for over 20 years primarily in the NICU unit.
Karen is survived by her daughter Lyndsey Mawe & husband Ian of Walden, and daughter Amanda O’Shea and her fiance Chris Murphy of Newburgh. Karen was predeceased by her sister Cynthia Worthington.
Karen was a keen gardener and had quite an artistic talent and was fond of a joke. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren Eoin and Cian Mawe of Walden. Gra-Gra was a huge influence on their early years and will be missed greatly by both.
A memorial service will be held on May 30 at 11:30am at the Orange County Arboretum, Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 211 Rte 416, Montgomery.
