Connect with others and try something new!  Arts and crafts can be a great way to de-stress.  Join Ashley from the Marlboro Library via Zoom to learn how to make three simple crafts with materials found in your own home!  View our events page at marlborolibrary.org for complete lists of needed supplies for each craft.  
Registration for these crafts is required for security reasons.  Register at marlborolibrary.org through our online calendar and we will email you a Zoom meeting link the day of the craft.  

Yarn Wall Art - Friday, May 8, 7 p.m.
Make a fun statement piece for one of your walls at home!  Make your piece as large or as small as you like, (or the size can be based on how much yarn you have).  

Stay at Home Stationery- Friday, May 15, 7 p.m.

Tune in to learn how to dress up a regular piece of paper into something fun and beautiful and send it to a friend who might like some surprise snail mail!  

Stay at Home Party Decorations- Friday, May 29, 7 p.m.
Is someone in your household celebrating a birthday while you’re stuck at home?  Party decorations are non-essential items- but they sure are important if you want to create a festive atmosphere!  Luckily, they are easy to make from home!  Join us online to learn how to make festive hanging pom-poms and bunting. 
If you don’t have any or only some of the needed materials, but would like to watch, feel free to join us to still join us!  Keep calm and craft on!

Project Resilience is a countywide partnership to organize fundraising, meal delivery, and other support to those in need throughout the county following the outbreak of COVID-19. Thank you to the Harpolis Brothers at Valley Diner and Brix. Franky and Teddy ordered $900 of groceries for Marlboro’s shut in families using the money raised from the Milton Cares fundraiser at First Presbyterian Church of Milton NY and today these groceries were distributed, as well as 225 meals from Brix / Valley Diner and Frank’s Deli through Project Resilience, by our amazing volunteers! Thank you so much to the Town of Marlboro, Town Supervisor Al Lanzetta, and Ulster County for supporting our local businesses and families!

Our community continues to show their support and we are truly touched! Yesterday, the Samsonov family stopped by MSLC to deliver delicious macaroons for our team. We also received a donation of face shields and masks from Andrew and Zach, both Medical Students at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, that they made themselves! And last evening, The Valley Diner brought us amazing dinners on behalf of the Town of Marlboro Highway Department! Thank you all for your support!
Thank you to Tommy Corcoran Jr for supporting the Marlboro High School Graduating Class of 2020 by placing lawn signs at the homes of the graduating seniors! Thank you for recognizing all of their achievements.

An Easy Recipe the kids can help you make.

Pillsbury Crescent Roll Taco Bake
Ingredients:
2 crescent roll tubes
1 LB ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
1 or 2 diced tomatoes depending on size
1/2 small can sliced olives if desired
Sour cream optional
sliced avocado optional

Simple Instructions
Lay out the two tubes of crescent pastry, thick sides in.
Use some of the left over crescent rolls to make the center a bit thicker.
Brown beef and add taco seasoning.

Lay beef in a circle inside of the laid out crescent rolls
Add cheese to the top
Pull over crescent rolls and tuck in under meat and cheese.
Add cheese, lettuce, tomato, black olives, sour cream or whatever you desire for your tacos, in the middle.
Follow cook time on the pack of crescent rolls, and once it’s done, you’re good to go!
