Rabbi Zoe Zak of Temple Israel of Catskill gives a history and description of each holiday which is followed by recipes chosen by Susan Simon, James Beard Award winning cookbook author, that reimagine traditional dishes from Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews. Susan Simon learned about these recipes when she live in Italy, Seychelles Islands, Morocco and the Jewish sections of Marrakech and Paris.Susan Simon , who lives in Hudson NY met Rabbi Zoe Zak when she attended her service at Temple Israel of Catskill and it was a marriage made in heaven.
