Join violinist Tessa Clark and composer-bassist Michael Thurber for an evening of innovative and high-energy music April 11 at 8 pm, the eighth in the ALIVEmusica concert series, co-presented by Newburgh Chamber Music.
The duo, which was formed in 2016, fuses classical and American influences for a unique repertoire. Their concert will feature original compositions and standards by J.S. Bach.
The concert will be streamed from the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon. It can be viewed through the co-presenters’ web sites, including newburghchambermusic.org and howlandmusic.org/ALIVEmusica. It will be available through April 25 on the web sites. A donation of $20 is suggested.
The ALIVEmusica series, organized by the Howland Chamber Music Circle, provides performance opportunities for young artists who have struggled in the wake of the shutdown resulting from the pandemic. It also gives arts organizations a way to stay connected with their audiences.
