A Newburgh man was arrested on Wednesday by Saugerties Police on five counts of rape for allegedly having sex with a minor.

Robert Bruno, 58, of Kyla Court in Newburgh, was also charged with criminal sexual act.

His arrest stems from an investigation conducted by Saugerties Police after a report was made alleging Bruno has sexual intercourse with a minor.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

The Ulster County Family and Child advocacy Center assisted Saugerties Police in the investigation.
