  Members of the City of Newburgh Police Department are currently working with The Newburgh Enlarged City School District on an investigation into an allegation of animal cruelty involving the torture of at least one cat.

    Members of the City of Newburgh Police Department are currently working with The Newburgh Enlarged City School District on an investigation into an allegation of animal cruelty involving the torture of at least one cat.
   A video involving animal cruelty was circulated among students at South Middle School on Wednesday and that prompted Principal Dr. Lisa Buon to contact City of Newburgh Police.
    At this point in the investigation, police say are gathering facts and hoping to interview people who have seen the video and who may know where it originated.
