The shooting at Newburgh Free Academy that took place on Friday, September 30 is still being investigated and no further updates are available at this time.

The shooting took place at 9:35 p.m., following the Goldbacks football game against the Warwick Wildcats in the north parking lot at the school. Three individuals were shot and were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In the days following, city representatives and school officials have thanked the police for their work, do not condone gun violence and called on the public to assist in any way possible with the investigation.
