U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao announced this week that the Trump Administration will award nearly $800 million in airport safety and infrastructure grants through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to 46 states, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Marshall Islands.

Included in this package is Orange County Airport in Montgomery, which is slated to receive $536,666 to reconstruct the airport beacon and for the construction of a building in which to store snow removal equipment.
