The Department of Homeland Security was created in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The department was established by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, signed by President George W. Bush. The department’s mission is to coordinate and unify national efforts related to anti-terrorism border security.

In the first three years of President Biden’s administration there have been over 327,563 poisonings of American citizens by fentanyl/opioids. On average, over 200 Americans die from fentanyl every single day. A shocking number especially when compared to the 405,399 American deaths during the six years of World War II.

The Select Committee Investigation Findings on The CCP’s Role in the Fentanyl Crisis released a damning report April 16, 2024, detailing China’s and the Mexican Cartels’ involvement in the poisoning of Americans. Our porous border enables this devastation to pass into our country.

During the same three-year period of the Biden Administration, over 7.2 million migrants have entered our country, a number higher than the individual populations of 36 states. Some estimates including the “got-a-ways” raise the entries to over 12 million.

Recently the Republicans in the House of Representatives presented Articles of Impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas for his gross dereliction of responsibilities to protect the homeland.

Section 3 of our Constitution states “The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments.” In their infinite wisdom, Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, along with the rest of the Senate Democrats, decided Mayorkas has been doing a bang-up job and for the first time in the Senate’s 237-year history the Democrats denied the ability of the House to even present their case for the impeachment. The Senate Democrats’ action has demonstrated the Department of Homeland Security as a true oxymoron.
