Join Nick Martin, Park Educator, on an approximately seven-mile exploration of Rainbow Falls Footpath and a few historic carriage roads in Minnewaska. Beginning on the Lower Awosting Carriage Road, we’ll walk until we intersect with Rainbow Falls Footpath. From here, we will traverse this rocky footpath, passing by Rainbow Falls along the way, to reach Upper Awosting Carriage Road. Continuing along this carriage road, we’ll head back to Lake Minnewaska, from where we will walk downhill along Sunset Carriage Road, completing our loop at our starting point. The footpath section of this hike includes some rocky areas, uneven footing, a stream crossing and a short rock scramble. Due to COVID protocols, the total number of participants for this program is limited to nine individuals. All participants must wear face coverings or keep a minimum six-foot distance away from others who are not part of their immediate household. Meet at the Lower Parking Area.
