Newburgh City Council approved on Monday, March 25 to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Orange County for the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program to provide young people to work for the City of Newburgh for the summer of 2024. The application would be for 16 youths that would be divided and sent to the Department of Planning and Development, Department of Public Works, the Recreation Department and the Code Compliance office.
