Thrills and chills at Montgomery’s Trunk-or-Treat

Residents of Montgomery experienced a terrifyingly good time on Friday, October 26 in Benedict Farm Park during the town’s Trunk-or-Treat, an annual Halloween event hosted by the Town of Montgomery PBA.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., families and their children browsed several vehicle trunks adorned with decorations both scary and silly, filled their baskets with candy, met ghoulish figures who offered games and performances and boogied the night away on the dance floor. The scariest part of all was how much fun everyone had that night.

“I love it, it’s fun, it’s perfect. So many kids are attending,” said Samantha Bell, a Maybrook resident, whose family assembled a Nintendo-themed trunk.

“It’s super cute, a nice way to give back to the community,” said Bonnie McDermott, owner of Secret Garden Florist, whose associates dressed up and danced for the occasion.

The event was hosted for the fourth consecutive year by the Town of Montgomery PBA.
