I met Tom Weir at a car show last year in September. His 2002 PT Cruiser stood out among the other show cars. It had a beautiful purple color with air brush paintings. I asked Tom to tell me the history of his car. Tom told me that he purchased the car new for his wife, Rosie. He said the car was purchased from a dealership in Yorkstown, NY in 2002. He told me he brought the car for $11,000. His wife, Rosie passed away in 2003. Tom decided to make the car a tribute to his wife. He had several roses air brushed onto the car along with pinstriping. He had the frontend of the cruiser customized. The car sports a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine, a five-speed transmission, dual scoop, custom interior and shaved door handles. Tom advised that his car has 74,000 original miles on the car. He said the color of the car is Deep Cranberry.

Tom who is a retired carpenter, enjoys going to car shows with friends to support local charities. He enjoys the response he receives from the car fans at the shows. He knows his wife Rosie would love the admiration the car receives at the show.
