Town to host senior luncheon on Friday

Hello New Windsor. Last week I had Jury Duty and reported on Monday morning to do my civic duty.

After a long day of questioning I was selected for a trial that began the next day. I reported to the jurors room as one of 12 jurors and four alternates that were chosen in case they were needed. The trial lasted three full days through Thursday and we saw many witnesses, and much police worn body camera footage. After both sides rested and did their closing arguments, the jury had to deliberate. We asked to see some of the evidence again, which you are allowed to do in deliberation, and then the jury all came to a consensus and voted guilty as charged.

It was a very interesting experience, and I was glad I got to be a part of it and do my civic duty!
