Little Explorers S.T.E.M. and Sensory (For Kids)

Picture Book Art Club (For Kids)
Wednesday, March 4 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Join Miss Tara for a new storytime with an artistic twist. Create beautiful art while exploring children’s literature. This week we will be reading The Rainbow Book by Kate Ohrt and creating Wassily Kandinsky-inspired abstract art. Registration required at wallkillpubliclibrary.org. Ages 3-8.

Mahjong Club

Wednesdays 2 - 4 p.m.
Meet up every Wednesday and play this addictive game during this weekly event. No need to bring your mahjong set – you can use one of the library’s! All skill levels welcome.

Baby and Me Storytime & Playgroup (For Kids)
Thursday, March 5, 10 - 11 a.m.
Sing, clap, and bounce with your baby to interactive rhymes, stories, and songs. Registration required at wallkillpubliclibrary.org. Age 0-24 months with a caregiver.

Game Afternoon for Adults
Thursdays 3 - 5 p.m.
Join Susie Burhans-Haldeman every Thursday as she teaches participants to play fun and entertaining games, such as Dutch Blitz, Quiddler, Phase 10, or Azul.

Adult Knit & Crochet
Thursdays 6:30 - 8 p.m.

This group meets every Thursday at the library. Bring a project and a friend and come and go as you please. New members always welcome.

LEGO Club (For Kids)
Saturday, March 7 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Build and create with LEGOs! Stop in anytime between 11:00 am and 1 pm. LEGO Club does not require registration, making it easy to just drop-in. All ages.

Read to Zoe + Watercolor Rainbows
Stop by to Read to Zoe, the Therapy Dog, and stay to paint a watercolor rainbow for St. Patrick’s Day.
Reading to Zoe can help alleviate the anxiety associated with reading aloud in front of peers. Once finished with their book (or chapter, for advanced readers), children will have some time to play with Zoe and watch some of her many tricks. After reading, or while waiting for your turn, participants and families are welcome to paint a watercolor rainbow at our craft table. Registration required at wallkillpubliclibrary.org. Age 5+.

Felting: Penguins (Events)

Felting is the process of molding wool into functional and fun objects using a specialized needle and 100% wool roving. It is fun and therapeutic. Learn to turn a little round ball into a cute little penguin! Registration required at wallkillpubliclibrary.org. Ages 8+.
