Astoria Hudson opens up on Clinton Street

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Saturday for Astoria Hudson. The business moved its location from 3 Union Street to 84 Clinton Street in the Village of Montgomery.

Owner Kateigh Jamieson moved her store to Clinton Street, as it has much more space. Saturday was her first day of business at the new location.

“We want it to be a staple place that the Village of Montgomery comes to,” Jamieson said.

The store sells women’s clothing and accessories as well as home gifts. Jamieson plans to expand the business’ home and gift inventory in preparation for the holiday season.

Jamieson grew up in Astoria, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens, and later moved to the Hudson Valley. This inspired her to name her business Astoria Hudson.
