BLM signs reported stolen in Walker Valley

Signs proclaiming “Black Lives Matter” and “All Welcome Here” disappeared from their roadside perch in Walker Valley over the weekend.

“We hung these signs on our property on Rt 52 in Walker Valley a few weeks ago. Both have been stolen,” wrote Kelli Greer on Facebook. “We have called the police and will file a report, but in the meantime, we need help. We do not want to take this lying down. We need more signs. Any size or shape as long as they are liberal leaning. This is the second time. The first were vandalized. I am so angry and sad right now.”

For Greer, it’s the second time she’s reported signs stolen or vandalized. In 2018, she reported political signs vandalized on her property.

She is offering a $500 reward for the arrest and conviction of the party or parties responsible for stealing the signs.

Please contact the Shawangunk Police at 895-2233 if you can provide any information.
