A correction is requested in regards to Mayor Brescia’s salary which was posted under the Briefs section of your newspaper. Stated is $14485.00 for the new Budget period FY 2019-2020. This is incorrect, looking at first glance in the budget page 2 is indeed the figure you’ve shown; what isn’t is the additional line items under Water (pg. 11) and Sewer (pg. 13) section of the Budget which Mayor Brescia also draws a Salary of $1435.00 for Water and $1435.00 for Sewer for a total of $17355.00 for the Budget FY 2019-2020 for the three line items in question.

Going back to the Budget FY 2018-2019 with all (3) three line items together, his Salary was $14357.00.

Mayor Brescia gave himself nearly a $3000.00 pay increase, nearly 21% which I told him wasn’t a reasonable amount to give himself for the upcoming Budget period. You can verify these figures by requesting the Schedule of Salaries & Wages for FY 2019-2020 which use to be part of the Budget paperwork handed to the public or refer to the three line items I’ve mentioned above.

The last Budget year FY 2012-2013 had this document (Schedule of Salaries & Wages) included and disappeared the following years (to the best of my knowledge) until I’d asked they once again be included for Budget FY 2018-2019 which they were added.
