Car show benefits cancer center

Orange County Sheriff Carl E. DuBois and Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center announce their 2nd Summer Car Show will take place Thursday, August 15 on Clinton Street, in the village of Montgomery from 5 to 8:30 p.m. All makes, models and years of cars and trucks can be shown. Admission is free for spectators not exhibiting a vehicle.

Clinton Street to Union Avenue will be closed to traffic for display of vehicles and free registration will take place next to the Montgomery Village Hall starting at 4:30 p.m. Participants are asked to make a nominal donation to the HVCRC.

Dash plaques will be given to the first 50 cars. There will be several award categories with trophies given out after the last music set.

The event has something for everyone including drinks and snacks available, 50-50 drawings, and music by Midnight Image in the Bandstand.
