I have always loved to read, ever since I belonged to the Nancy Drew Book Club and I couldn’t wait for that new edition to be mailed to me as quick as author Carolyn Keene (the pseudonym of the authors of the Nancy Drew mystery stories and The Dana Girls mystery stories), could churn another one out. So I am happy that we have a great reading establishment in our village, the Montgomery Book exchange.

On Saturday (8/10) come and enjoy music, coffee, tea and light snacks at the Montgomery Books Exchange’s Acoustic Sessions. Musicians, sign up and share your talent. There is a $5 admission at the door.

When you’re finished with your errands on Mondays in the Village stop at Duffy’s for “Sundaes on Mondays”. From 1-2 pm this event benefits the Humane Society as every Monday, weather permitting, the staff and volunteers from WHS bring adoptable dogs to Duffy’s for treats.
You know summer is here when the annual Village of Montgomery concerts are back. Come and enjoy a summer’s evening on August 8, with the “Hurley Mountain Band” and then on August 15, “Midnight Image”.
All are from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in downtown Montgomery.
