Cobras ready for tournament

The Middletown Cobras senior American Legion baseball team lost to Newburgh 6-3 at their Field of Dreams facility in Montgomery Monday, July 1.

Dimitri Lamancusa helped with an RBI-double in the second inning. The loss to Newburgh followed a loss to Rockand the previous Friday.

The Cobras, a finalist in the 2018 District 9 tournament, head to a Lake Placid tournament this week after coping with attendance problems due earlier this season to personal issues and high school graduations.

When the Cobras return from the Adirondacks, they will get ready for the district tournament next week.

“I think it will be a great time for the guys to come together and gel,” said Sam Cintriniti, of the Lake Placid tournament, “so I am confident we will be ready for districts.”
