Alfred State College welcomed a new class of freshmen this fall. Among the new faces at Alfred State this semester are: Walden: Luc Fischli, Walden; Jaquay Stevens, Business Administration.

Jakob Smit of Montgomery has enrolled at Moravian College for the Fall 2020 semester.

For Ian Darwin of Montgomery and classmates, the pandemic has sparked a rare learning opportunity. Darwin, who is pursuing a degree in music industry at SUNY Oneonta, will cap the senior year with an internship in producing live stream performances. Darwin is serving in the role of Production for the live stream performance.

Boston University awarded academic degrees to 6,927 students in May 2020. Among the graduates was Raven R. Pentz of Wallkill, who received a Master of Education in Deaf Education.
May 2020 graduates of Mount Saint Mary College were recognized for their dedication to academics and the campus community on Thursday, July 16 during a virtual award ceremony. Mark Olsen of Walden was the recipient of the Thomas J. Conlon Memorial Award, which is given to a senior student who has shown outstanding leadership in Student Government.

Mount Saint Mary College also recognized student-athletes for their outstanding achievements in the 2019-2020 season. Bridget Bennett of Gardiner, was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Kayley M. Carnes of Montgomery was among the more than 600 master’s and doctoral degree candidates at The University of Scranton whose degrees were conferred at a virtual celebration ceremony on May 30. Carnes earned a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from The University of Scranton.
