The Tri County Community Partnership kicked off their February monthly meeting Monday at their new location at 127 Route 302 in Pine Bush with a celebratory ribbon cutting by the Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was very well attended by members of both organizations including Annette Kahrs, President of Tri County Community Partnership and Brenda Otto, President of the Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as supporters from the community.

Annette Kahrs said, “We completed the renovations in this space ourselves using some of the money raised from our Paddle Run. The Paddle Run is our main fundraising event and allows us to fund three scholarships - one each for the Pine Bush, Ellenville, and Minisink school districts to a graduating senior majoring in mental health or social work. We have recently received a Federal grant of $625,000 over five years which funds youth prevention work at a rate of $125,000 per year. Everyone is welcome to our meetings on the third Monday of the month or to attend any of our events.”

The Tri County Community Partnership is a 501C3 supporting multiple programs including; Hope Not Handcuffs, I PROMise, sponsor of Pine Bush High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions, and working with numerous partners, is designed to create positive change in the community by raising awareness about the risks of alcohol, tobacco, and drug use.
