A 34-year-old Pine Bush man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Albany Post Road in the Town of Shawangunk on Monday morning.

State Police said the 9:30 incident occurred as a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Ulster County public works truck, driven by Joseph Hull, 49, was facing southbound on Albany Post Road and was attempting to back into a driveway.

A 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Kevin Kazmar, 34, of Pine Bush, was traveling southbound on Albany Post and came up behind Silverado striking it and causing it to go into the northbound lane where it was struck by a 2008 Silverado driven by Andrew Basel, 52, and traveling north on Albany Post.

The collision caused the Grand Cherokee to overturn in the roadway with Kazmar pronounced dead at the scene.

The two DPW workers were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
