The Valley Central girls’ tennis team had a short week, losing their only match, 4-3, to Middletown on March 15.

The Vikings were also scheduled to face Liberty last Wednesday, but the match was postponed.

Delanie O’Neill got the Vikings’ only singles victory, defeating Elizabeth Matos, 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets at fourth singles.

The Vikings also got wins at second and third singles from the teams of Christina Faso and Taylor Froehlich and Madison

Rubina and Nicole Miller respectively.

The Vikings are scheduled to host Warwick on Wednesday and visit Cornwall on Friday.
