Dennis G. Hamel of Middletown passed away on December 14, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. He was 70.
The son of the late Wolfgang and June Thompson Hamel, he was born on July 6, 1948 in New York City.
Survivors include his brother, Peter Hamel and his wife, Linda, of South Carolina; nephew, Steven R. Hamel and his wife, Karalyn, of Westtown, NY; nieces, Laura Cash and her husband, Chris, of Texas, Susan Sudduth and her husband, Mark, of South Carolina. Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Hamel.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 3 at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St. Walden.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’s name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Ct, Newburgh, NY 12550.
