Eric E. Lindahl

Eric E. Lindahl, 79, of Middletown, NY, a long-time resident of the area, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family on Friday, December 21, 2018. Born April 28, 1939, in New York City, he was the eldest son of the late Ernest Lindahl and Marie (Tisell) Lindahl.

Eric is survived by his loving wife Ginger of 55 years; along with his son Eric Lindahl Jr and his wife Sue; his daughter Cindy Dickman and her husband Robert; his five grandchildren Amanda, Brianna and Joseph Dickman and Eric and Taylor Lindahl; his great grandson Jase Housman; his sisters Joan Lind and Sandi Lindahl; his brother Carl Lindahl; his many nieces and nephews; and his feline companions Milo and Murphy. He was predeceased by his sister Florence Lindahl. Eric was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone.

Eric was a retired Rigger/Truck Driver and Welder for Coymen Brothers in Hackensack, NJ. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years and was a member and past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 692 in Middletown, NY. Eric also enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping and playing his harmonica.

A special thank you to the people at Orange County Hospice for the loving care and support provided to Eric. Also, the family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Stewart who performed magic for Eric for many years.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2-4pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St, Montgomery. Funeral services to follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
