Time to clean the windows
The Wallkill Scrapers aka Vision of Wallkill took to the windows in the Hamlet of Wallkill, armed with newspapers, window cleaner and elbow grease to clean the glass panes that were beautifully painted with scenes from our community: the new bridge, Elsie the Cow, the Shawangunk Mountains.

PB library to host creative workshop
Kids ages 7 and up will be making a one-of-a-kind birdfeeder, made from plastic soda bottles, at the Creative Workshop. This is presented by local multi-media artist, Meadow.

This free class will take place at the Pine Bush Area Library Community Center, 223 Maple Ave. in Pine Bush, on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 3:30 p.m. You must register by calling (845) 744-4265, ext. 2.
This program is sponsored by the Pine Bush Area Arts Council (PBAAC) and funded by a Grant from Stewarts Shops Holiday Match Program.

Scouts to serve spaghetti
Cub Scout Pack 78 of Wallkill will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Nov. 23, 5-7 p.m. at the Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge St.
The dinner will also feature 50/50 tickets and rafles for prizes and gift baskets.

Wallkill Church to host Christmas Wonderland Fair
The Wallkill Reformed Church will host its annual Christmas Wonderland Fair on Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Come get into the Christmas spirit! Booths featuring delicious baked goods, Christmas necessities, jewelry, collectibles and gifts, toys, bargains, and, of course, the traditional fair luncheon!
The luncheon will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The menu includes turkey noodle soup, butternut squash soup, hot turkey casserole, green beans, assorted hot and cold beverages, and delicious apple crisp with whipped cream for dessert. No tickets or reservations are necessary.

The church is located at 45 Bridge Street in Wallkill.

St. Charles Parish presents cookie walk
St. Charles Borromeo Church will be holding their annual Cookie Walk & Holiday Fair on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Church Hall, Route 44/55 in Gardiner, (rain or shine).
The cost is $8.00 per pound, which contains an assortment of delicious, homemade cookies you can enjoy with your family. You might even consider using them as a Christmas present for the people you can’t decide on what kind of a gift to give them.
People are needed to bake batches of their favorite cookies. Please bake 4 to 6 dozen cookies to donate, no store bought cookies allowed! Neatly write down the ingredients on a half sheet of paper or index card, so that those allergic to certain foods won’t have reactions. Bring the cookies to the Church Hall on Saturday morning by 9 a.m. (or the day before to the rectory porch). Also several vendors will be at the fair with an assortment of gift ideas for Christmas.

Vendors are needed for this fundraiser. Reserved spaces, are 8 ft. x 3 ft. table for $20, and available on a first-come, first-pay basis. Doors will open at 8 a.m. on Dec. 7 for set-up.

Pine Bush to usher in the holiday season on Dec. 7
The Pine Bush Lions Club will be holding the community tree lighting in the Gazebo area of Crawford Commons behind 65 Main St. on Sat. Dec. 7 from 4:30-5:30 pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for pictures and to greet the children and their families.
This year’s tree is being donated by Beck’s Home & Garden Center and the gazebo and tree decorations are being done by Pete’s Pizza. Tree will be lit at 5:30 p.m.

Local groups will be there to provide refreshments and games for the children. So far, we have the Heppes family with their Popcorn House, the chamber with hot cider, girl scouts with hot chocolate, cookies from Lions Club members and much more.

Walker Valley celebrates the season
Walker Valley Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary tree lighting will be held on Sunday December 8th at 7 p.m. at the firehouse 3679 State Route 52, Walker Valley. Caroling music will be provided by the Walker Valley Marching Band and refreshments will be served in the social hall.
Bring an ornament to hang on the community tree. We anticipate that the holiday prayer message will be delivered by Pastor Gregg Higgins of the Walker Valley Mountainview United Methodist Church.

Mark your calendars for the Town Of Shawangunk Tree Lighting
The annual Tree Lighting for the Town of Shawangunk will be on Sunday December 8. Join your neighbors and family as we sing favorite carols and meet with Santa. Crafts, hot chocolate and fresh baked goods, too. This year there will be a Gingerbread House display. If you want to show off the Gingerbread House you made, bring it to the Shawangunk Town Hall before the lighting. More details can be found on Vision of Wallkill Facebook or call Donna at 851-8105.


Shawangunk Church to host cookie walk and vendor craft fair
The Reformed Church of Shawangunk presents its annual cookie walk on December 14, with an extra added attraction this year.

Get the best homemade cookies around for only $6.50 per pound! This year they are adding a vendor craft fair to the event that will take pace on December 14, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the church.
The Reformed Church of Shawangunk is located at 1166 Hoagerburgh Road in Wallkill.
