Kudos to the members of M.P.B. who participated in cooking takeout meals for this great organization! Their final meal will be on September 18. Meal cost is $8 - take out only! If you would like to order a dinner, please call/text Jason Matadobra and leave a message with your name and number of dinners at (845) 527-3212.
Please order by 4 p.m. on Thursday. The September 18th menu is BBQ pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. Thank you for supporting the M. P. B. Knights.

Belated Happy Birthday wishes are on their way from family, friends and members of the Walden Historical Society. Barbara Imbasciani celebrated her birthday on September 13. The final session of Music in the Grove series is scheduled for September16, 6:30 p.m. and features “Walk, Do Not Run”, a new group consisting of weathered musicians,featuring Brian Stabner, Dan Walker and Jimi Myers. They will perform classics you forgot you knew to today’s hits. The guys each have unique music tastes that make this band different from any local bands you’ve heard.

Mark your calendar to participate in the Walden Historical Society fundraiser. Every last Tuesday of the month when food is ordered for takeout at Franco’s Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant, 4 Oak Street, Walden, Franco will donate 20% of your meal purchase to the society! Place your order on Tuesday, September 29, 5 - 9 p.m. to participate. Required coupons available on line, at the Josephine Public Library,or by calling 778-7772.

Tickets are available for the Walden PBA retirement dinner honoring Walden’s Police Chief Jeffry Holmes set for October 23, 6 p.m. at the Villa Venezia,2257 Goshen Turnpike, Middletown. Tickets are $90 per person. Tickets must be paid for by October 10. No tickets sold at the door. Checks can be mailed to Walden PBA, P. O Box 648, Walden, 12586 (please note on check retirement dinner ticket).

There are only a few weeks left to complete the 2020 Census survey. The deadline is September 30. Please make sure that you are counted so that you will not be “Counted Out”!
Story Time for ages 3 to 5 years will begin Monday, September 28. Make sure to register ahead of time for your weekly packets that will include everything you need to create your activity and a craft to go with it. Each week your child will receive a new packet of surprises. Register by calling 778-7621.
On September 22, Americans will mark National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters well in advance of Election Day in November. The Josephine-Louise Public library is proud to be a National Voter Registration day partner. On September 22, the Library will engage its community and register voters during the hours between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. With a historic presidential election approaching, every eligible American voter should exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box, and National Voter Registration Day is the right day to start by getting registered.
