A Wallkill auto body shop was destroyed in a fire on Saturday, destroying several luxury cars.

The Shawangunk Police Department responded to an Ulster County 911 call at 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 2 at 2151 Bruynswick Road to provide a security detail for the Shawangunk Valley Fire Department. The building was owned by John J Lease Realty, which rented out the holding bays to several tenants.

Several luxury vehicles were destroyed in the fire. The Shawangunk Police Department said the cause of the fire is unknown.
