Please remember that this column runs the third Wednesday each month. I need your news for one month by the second Wednesday of each month.
Come and see the “Spooky” Halloween Exhibit on the second floor of the Town of Crawford Government Center hosted by the Town of Crawford Historical Society.
Trick or Treat will take place in the Town of Crawford on Thursday, October 31 from 5 - 8 p.m. Wear light colored clothing, carry flashlights, and drive safely.

The Pine Bush Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary will be having their annual Parties Galore, Crafts, & More on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Mark your calendars! Spaces available. Call Judy at 744-8626.

There will be an Eagle Scout Fundraiser Dinner hosted by Boy Scout Troop 1002 Pine Bush at the Mountain View United Methodist Memorial Hall Route 302 on Saturday, November 2 from 4pm-8pm. Ticket Prices: Adults $8, Military/ Veterans $6, Children ages (6-14) $4, Children 5 and under FREE. For more information call 845-361-4235.

Proceeds to benefit building a gazebo for the Squirrelwood Equine Sanctuary Assisted Psychotherapy Program for Veterans and Their Families.

There will be a Holiday Bazaar & Craft Fair (Indoor) at Circleville Church located on the Corner of Route 302 & Goshen Turnpike, Circleville on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. at Circleville Middle School. The board will also meet on Tuesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. at Pine Bush High School.
The Pine Bush Central School District will be closed for Superintendent’s Conference Day (Election Day) on Tuesday, November 5 and on Monday, November 11 for Veterans Day.

The Pine Bush Senior Citizens Club are looking for new members! Pine Bush Senior Citizens Do you live in the Town of Crawford, Town of Montgomery, Town of Shawangunk, Town of Mamakating or any other town? Open to ages 55 and over. Then come join the seniors and make new friends. They meet Tuesdays at 1PM at the Town of Crawford Senior Center located at Route 302 across from the Pine Bush High School.

Calling all teens. How about joining a new library group called the “PALS”? This would be a group where you would meet monthly, be self governing, under the advice of library staff. A good opportunity to observe how groups get organized and function cooperatively with its members. How about the presidency and other officers? This could be a great learning experience along with aiding the library in many ways. Let us know. Contact a staff member or Miss Vicki 744-5295 ext. 3.
The Pine Bush Area Library is sponsoring a 6 week series on World War II; a global war that included the vast majority of the world’s countries, including all the great powers. Ultimately, what formed were two opposing military alliances: The allies and the axis. Join us for this series presented by Joseph Britto, assistant professor at Suny/Orange and Professor Emeritus at Suny /New Paltz. The dates are all Tuesdays starting October 15 at 6:30 p.m. Then they meet on 22, 29, November 6, 12, and 19.
Do you play Mah Jong or want to learn? Come to the library Saturday, October 26 at 10 am to noon. Bring your set if you have one please.

Celebrate with us on “The Great Give Back” Saturday, October 19 to Friday, October 25. This is a day of Opportunities for the patrons of NYS Public Libraries to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences as part of this give back. The Pine Bush Area Library has chosen to collect non-perishable food items for the New Prospect Church food Pantry. on Route 52 here in Pine Bush. Donations can be brought to the main library or the community room during daily hours of operation.
Need a good book when traveling? Come to the library community room and select 3 for $1. We have DVDs, audio books, autographed books, records and record albums. We now have greeting cards for most occasions.
Your library card entitles you to download free ebooks, have use of Consumers Report when wondering what best appliance to buy.
